Minister of Missions

Mount Pleasant is a world wide mission center. We're at work in our community, commonwealth, country and the continents.

It is exciting to see people joining our fellowship in almost every service, many of whom are making public their decision to follow Christ.

It is exciting to see the look of joy on faces we minister to in the Tri Cities, Virginia, Appalachia, Mississippi, New York and around the world. It is exciting to learn of our adopted people groups hearing and responding to the gospel for the first time.

Matthew 24:14 records these words of Jesus "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come". Just a few chapters later in 28:19-20, Matthew once again records the words of Jesus "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I command you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age". Just to make sure we don't misunderstand the whole world concept, Acts 1:8 tells us "but you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth".

Scripture is very clear on what we are to do, where we are to do it and by whose authority and power.

In Psalm 2:8 we read "Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as thine inheritance, and the very ends of the earth as thy possession".

I've begun to pray this verse back to the Father. Will you join me in asking Him for the nations as an inheritance? It will be an exciting journey!
