Where do I start?

A Ten Step Guide to Mission Involvement

1. PRAYER

Ask the Father to lead as you seek His will for involvement in a mission project.

2. GET INFORMATION

Contact the team leader or attend information meetings. The information you receive will help you pray more specifically.

3. FILL OUT THE MISSION APPLICATION

Your application will provide key information the team leader needs in order to match your gifting with assignments. Because of the sensitive nature of some of the information, you will need to complete, print off and turn in the printed application. Click here to access the application. Please note that you will need Adobe Acrobat to open the application.

4. START TRAINING

Many projects require specific training. The informational brochure will explain this and we will provide any training needed during the year.

5. GET YOUR PASSPORT

This is a requirement for all international projects. You can not board the plane without a passport.

6. DECIDE TO GO

Return your application and make a deposit to reserve your place. You’ll return a changed person.

7. SEEK SUPPORT

Tell your friends and family about what you’ll be doing. Ask them to support you in prayer and financially as you prepare and go.

8. CONTINUE TRAINING

Attend all team meetings. It is here that you bond with your team and become prepared to minister in a cultural context.

9. GO

Allow the Holy Spirit to minister through you as you share the gospel with a needy world.

10. RETURN AND SHARE

Share your experiences with your small group, supporters and church. Make plans to participate in another mission project.
